Famous musical icon and African singer Yvonne Chaka Chaka touched base yesterday at Entebbe International Airport, ahead of her fundraising concert, slated due on Friday at the Kampala Serena Hotel, Victoria Hall
The south African born and singer of Thank you Mr Dj, Mukomboti amongst other hits will be headlining a charity performance, staged to help former street children return to school, the concert is organized by Shule Foundation, an international charity organization.
“When I grew up, there were no street children, I don’t see why there should be street children in Uganda,”. Chaka Chaka as she was answering journalists shortly after she had landed.
Chaka Chaka came to Uganda from Nairobi, Kenya where she was part of the event at which former US President Barack Obama spoke.
